ONLINE WORKSHOP: Taking a brain health approch to mental health

Taking a brain health approach to mental health

Eat better, live better, feel better—brain health in action.

Your brain is the control centre of everything you do—your thoughts, emotions, decisions, relationships, and productivity all begin there. When your brain is healthy, life feels clearer, more energised, and more manageable. When it’s not, simple tasks can feel overwhelming. That’s why understanding how to support brain health is one of the most powerful steps you can take toward improving your mental health and overall wellbeing.

Guided by the scientific research of Daniel Amen—a double board-certified psychiatrist and New York Times bestselling author—together we will dive into the BRIGHT MIND risk factors behind mental health struggles, memory loss, and physical health issues. Through science-backed strategies, you will learn how to prevent or overcome these risks for a healthier and happier future.

The 90 minute seminar focuses on the deep connection between mental health and brain health.  As Dr Amen puts it, “when we get the health of our brain right, everything else falls into place.”

Rather than overwhelming you with complex science, the seminar translates research into clear and achievable strategies that support a healthier and happier brain.

In this 90-minute seminar, you’ll explore ways to:

  • Connect with the importance of looking after your brain.  See the real life impacts of the BRIGHT MINDS risk factors.

  • Approach implementing brain health strategies in practical and realistic ways, designed to fit into everyday life rather than requiring drastic changes. Whether it’s improving hydration, exercising more, choosing foods that reduce inflammation, or taking steps to make your environment healthier, each approach is grounded in real-world application.

  • Personal reflection. Instead of trying to change everything at once, you’ll be encouraged to identify one strategy that feels achievable for you right now. This focus on small, consistent action makes it easier to build lasting habits that genuinely improve how you feel day to day.

After the seminar, you’ll receive additional brain health information.

  • A handout allowing you to assess your BRIGHT MINDS risk factors.
  • Strategies to overcome the risk factors, opportunities to build a happier and healthier brain.
  • A copy of the power-point slides for your reference.

Investment:  $40
